Teflon, Engineering Plastics

Teflon is a registered trademark of the DuPont Company for its fluoropolymer resins. Teflon PTFE fluoropolymer resins are part of the DuPont family of fluorine-based products that also includes Teflon FEP and Teflon PFA fluoropolymer resins and Tefzel fluoropolymers. AIP machines precision components from compression molded and extruded Teflon stock shapes. Teflon can be customized with fillers such as graphite, glass, synthetic-mica, and/or Kevlar to obtain special properties for unique applications. Teflon is chemically inert in that there are no known solvents and also possesses excellent heat resistance and electrical insulation properties.
