Peek®, Industrial Plastics
PEEK®:(PolyEtherEtherKetone) offers exceptional chemical
and hydrolysis resistance. PEEK® can be used continuously to 480 F ( 250
C ) and in hot water or steam without permanent loss in physical properties
or becoming brittle.
PEEK® carries a V-0 flammability rating and exhibits
very low smoke and toxic gas emissions when exposed to flame. Glass reinforced,
carbon reinforced and bearing grades of PEEK® are available for improved
dimensional stability, stiffness, compressive strength, low coefficient
of friction, and low wear.
PEEK® is commonly used for wear rings, aircraft
components, semiconductor components, connector bodies, insulators, seals,
bearings, and down hole components.
