Fluorosint® 207, Fluorosint® 500, Engineering Plastics

FLUOROSINT®: is the most dimensionally stable PTFE based product available today. Fluorosint® offers all the great properties of Teflon® coupled with the superior dimensional stability of other engineering plastics.

Fluorosint® has a continuous use temperature of 500 F (260 C) with the excellent chemical resistance capabilities of virgin PTFE. Fluorosint® allows the design engineer additional options to use all the good of PTFE with improved load carrying capability and reduced deformation (1/9 that of unfilled PTFE). All this while still offering a low coefficient of thermal expansion.

Fluorosint® is readily available in rod, tube, sheet, or finished machined components. Currently two grades are available; Fluorosint® 207, which is FDA approved and non-permeable in steam, or for additional stability, Fluorosint® 500 which is non-FDA approved, but offers even more improved load carrying capability than the 207.
