In the Aerospace and Defense Industries, weight and strength are everything. For over three decades, AIP has been working with top aerospace and defense contractors on the selection and design of high performance thermoplastics for components used in missiles, aircraft, rockets, satellites, and the space shuttle. These thermoplastics are carefully selected, machined, and tested. The result is unprecedented weight savings, unheard of chemical and corrosion resistance, radiation resistance, radar absorption, and equal or improved strength when compared to metallic components. Even at temperatures in excess of 750°F (400°C), there are machine able plastics for your application. AIP has the unique ability to machine complex components in our five-axis milling centers. This ability, coupled with quick- turn prototype capabilities, allows for actual useable prototypes.
